31,613 miles!   We’ve walked from the district office in Cleveland, to NYC, to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, to Zimbabwe, to Cairo, to Bethlehem, to Tampa and home to Cleveland!     We’ve walked the circumference of the equator and them some!

Congratulations to the people of Elyria Community Church who walked over 10,000 miles!
Congratulations to the people of Lakewood and Fields who tied for second place
Congratulations to the people of Church of the Redeemer who came in third place
and congratulations to the people of Mt Pleasant (Cleveland) who faithfully submitted their miles and came in a very strong 4th place!
Congratulations to all of the churches who participated in the walk….Brecksville United Methodist Church, Church of the Redeemer, Elyria Community, Fields United Methodist Church, Lakewood United Methodist Church, Mount Pleasant (Cleveland), Pleasant Hills United Methodist Church, and St. Matthew United Methodist Church.   Each of you were an important part of our walk. Â

It was a very long walk over four months—thank you to all of you who participated in any way.  Thank you to all of the tour guides in each local church for keeping track of the miles and faithfully submitting them.  I loved reading the reports.   When we make healthy choices, we are witnesses that we value our lives given to us by God. We are a healthier people as we begin 2012.  Â
