Director of Music at Aldersgate UMC
Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Warrensville Heights, OH, is seeking a Director of Music. Will be responsible to plan, execute, and evaluate all musical components of 8:00am and 11:00am worship services. Directing the Chancel and Contemporary choirs and the Children/Youth music ministry. Education and experience in choral conducting with preference in religious setting. Keyboard skills- piano and/or organ. Candidates must be Christ-centered and Spirit-filled as well as having a contagious enthusiasm for worship. Salary is open to negotiation. Core Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree Preferred (or commensurate work experience.)
· Youth ministry experience preferred (or experience working with youth in another capacity.)
· Adept with social media and electronic communication.

DIRECTOR OF MUSIC
Christ United Methodist Church, located in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking a Director of Music. This is a part-time position and is available beginning June 2012.
Primary responsibilities:
- Directing the Adult Chancel Choir, Adult Handbell Choir, and Children’s Choir
- Leading a weekly choir rehearsal (currently on Tuesday evenings)
- Coordinating the selection of choir and congregational music relevant to the
liturgical season and special events
- Participation on the worship committee
Minimum qualifications:
- Strong choral conducting skills
- Excellent vocal training
- Proficiency on the piano and/or organ
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Willingness to use a variety of sacred musical styles and genres
Additional qualifications that are desired but not essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in music preferred
- Experience directing a handbell choir
